1. Preparation – Cleaning
Hold the can upright approximately 1″ from the gasket area to be sprayed and spray the area to be stripped. Allow 5 to 10 minutes for foaming action to break down the old gasket. After use, turn the can upside down and spray for 3 seconds to clear the nozzle
2. Preparation – Activation
Remove the old gasket with a plastic putty knife or scraper. Wipe the flange with a clean rag. Conduct a final clean with LOCTITE SF 7633 or SF 7070 and a clean rag to remove any residue wax on the surface.
How long should I let LOCTITE® SF 7070 react on the surface?
The technical data sheet suggests 5-10 minutes to react on the surface. The thicker the spray and the longer the product sits on the surface, the deeper the penetration into the material to be removed.
