LOCTITE 271 High Strength

Loctite 271 is a very high strength threadlocker (High Strength Threadlocker – Red), used to permanently lock bolts, screws and nuts, especially in applications subject to strong vibrations and heavy loads.

📝 Instructions for use

Surface preparation

Clean threads with solvent (Loctite 7063, 7070 or acetone).

Make sure the surface is dry and free of grease.

How to use

Shake the glue bottle well before use.

Drop a few drops of glue onto the male thread (bolt) or female thread (threaded hole).

Tighten the bolt to the required torque.

Curing time

10 – 20 minutes: the glue begins to dry on the surface (fixing the part).

1 – 3 hours: reaches working strength.

24 hours: completely cured.

🔧 How to remove

Due to the very high locking force → almost permanent connection.

If removal is required:

Heat the thread to about 250 °C.

Use a mechanical tool to remove it.
