- Loctite 290 is a medium strength threadlocker, with a thin flow and penetrating properties (wicking grade), specially designed to lock assembled threads without removing them.

⚙️ Application
Locking threads for tightened bolts and screws (no need to remove to apply glue).
Prevents loosening due to vibration, dynamic loads.
Prevents rust and corrosion in threaded joints.
Can also be used to seal capillaries and small gaps in mechanical components.
📝 Instructions for use
Surface preparation
Clean the thread with solvent (Loctite 7063/7070 or acetone).
Make sure the surface is dry and free of grease.
How to use
Shake well before use.
Drop a few drops directly into the assembled thread slot → the glue will penetrate inside.
For cracks/gaps: drop directly so that the glue spreads evenly.
Curing time
10 – 20 minutes: start to fix.
1 – 3 hours: reach working durability.
24 hours: completely cured.
🔧 How to remove when needed
Remove with conventional mechanical tools.
If difficult to remove → heat the joint to about 150 °C and then unscrew.
