Loctite 5970 is a neutral silicone gasket sealant, used to replace paper, rubber, or cork gaskets on metal, plastic, and painted flanges. The product is oil-resistant, flexible, and vibration-resistant.
How to use:
1. Surface preparation:
• Thoroughly clean oil, dust, and old gaskets with Loctite Cleaner.
• Ensure the surface is dry and free of oil.
2. Glue application:
• Pump the glue evenly in a continuous line onto one flange.
• Assemble the two surfaces within 5 minutes of pumping the glue.
3. Hardening time:
• The glue begins to set on the surface after about 25–30 minutes and is completely cured after 24 hours at room temperature.
👉 Note: Do not use on surfaces soaked in gasoline or strong solvents.
