Loctite 598 (full name: Loctite RTV 598 Black Silicone Gasket Maker) is a specialized heat-resistant, oil-resistant silicone adhesive used to create replacement gaskets, seals, and prevent leaks in mechanical, automotive, and industrial applications.

Form: RTV silicone adhesive (Room Temperature Vulcanizing – self-curing at room temperature).
Color: Black.
Heat resistance: from -54 °C to +260 °C.
Characteristics: oil-resistant, anti-vibration, highly elastic, pressure-resistant, no cracking.
Main applications: replace gaskets, seal metal surfaces during assembly:
Valve cover

🔹 Advantages
Resistant to lubricants and mild solvents.
Creates a durable, tight, elastic seal.
No need to mix 2 components, easy to apply.
Can compensate for gaps up to ~6 mm.
🔹 Brief instructions for use
Clean the surface (remove oil, grease, dust).
Apply glue in a continuous line around the edge of the surface to be sealed.
Assemble immediately before the glue dries on the surface.
Tighten the bolts to the correct technical torque.
Let dry: 30 minutes the surface begins to solidify, 24 hours completely dry.
