LOCTITE 496 Low Viscosity

LOCTITE 496 is an instant adhesive of the cyanoacrylate group manufactured by Henkel, commonly used in industry and repair.

🔹 Main features

Full name: Loctite® 496 Instant Adhesive.

Form: Liquid glue, low viscosity.

Color: Transparent.

Characteristics:

Very fast bonding (only a few seconds).

Creates strong bonds, good tensile and impact resistance.

Can bond many types of materials: metal, plastic, rubber, wood, leather.

Suitable for tight fitting parts, small gaps.

Mechanical and electronic industry: bonding metal parts, components.

Plastic & rubber industry: bonding gaskets, seals, plastic parts.

Wood & leather industry: bonding handmade products, small repairs.

Civil application: replace 502 glue but higher industrial quality.

🔹 Instructions for use

Surface preparation:

Clean dust, grease with solvent (Loctite 7063, acetone or alcohol).

Make sure the surface is dry and tight.

Apply glue:

Drop 1-2 drops on one surface.

Do not use too much (excess glue will take a long time to dry).

Press firmly:

Hold the two surfaces for 10-30 seconds.

Achieve full adhesion after 24 hours.

🔹 Storage & safety

Store at 2 – 8°C (refrigerator, in a sealed bottle).

Avoid sunlight and humidity.

Wear gloves when handling.

If on skin: soak in warm soapy water, do not try to peel off.

If in eyes: rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention.
