Loctite 515 is a flange sealant belonging to the anaerobic group, quite popular in mechanics and equipment maintenance. It has many similarities with Loctite 510 but also has important differences.
Information about Loctite 515:
Form: Liquid glue, purple-red color.
Main application: Sealing hard or semi-hard metal flanges, replacing paper gaskets, rubber gaskets.
Characteristics:
Heat resistance is about -55°C to +150°C (lower than Loctite 510).
Withstands pressure, oil, water, glycol solution, compressed air quite well.
Fills gaps as small as 0.25 mm.
Fixture time is about 20 – 30 minutes.
Does not shrink after drying, for a durable seal.
Practical applications:
Seal flanges of pumps, gearboxes, motors.
Replace traditional paper/rubber gaskets.
Used for metal parts that are not completely flat and have slight deformation.
